Women of Asphalt SC Branch 2024-25 Sponsorship Program

The South Carolina Branch is planning an exciting and productive year! We started our new fiscal year October 1, 2024 and it will run through September 2025.

Our first year as an official Women of Asphalt Branch was extremely successful due to all the support we received from SCAPA and our members. We were able to host a cocktail reception prior to the Fall SCAPA member dinner. We gathered supporters for a meal together at the SCAPA Winter and Summer conferences. We had a friendly competition of throwing axes while laughing together at our misses. This year, we also implemented our Building Community with Biscuits (BCB), an initiative to connect more women in the field with Women of Asphalt, resources, and each other! We were able to visit with 8 producers in South Carolina and hope to visit with 4 more by the end of the calendar year.

In our second year, we are planning on ramping up our BCB efforts by calling on members throughout the state to organize and implement visits with producers, suppliers, engineers, municipalities, and many others! Our goals are BIG, including a Christmas event with the choice to donate to a specific charity, organizing a golf clinic and 9-hole tournament, networking events, educational seminars, mentoring opportunities, and so much more!
