About Dr. Hoyt
Vicky began her professional safety career in 2004 after completing a BS degree in American culture studies at Cal State Fullerton and working as a project control engineer. Before that role, her construction career began as a journeyman piledriver/bridge carpenter throughout California.
She holds a doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with published work on the impact of authentic leadership on safety climate and is the Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environmental at Colas Inc. She is committed to advancing health and positive safety culture through leadership development across the USA.

Women of Asphalt is a national coalition which supports women in all aspects of the asphalt industry through mentoring, education, and advocacy and by encouraging women to seek careers in the asphalt industry. The South Carolina Branch is one of 27 branches in the United States and Canada. Membership is free for all - and all are welcome to join as members and champions of women in asphalt careers.
